Congratulations to Alynn Sankar on being Iron Flame’s first Intern to become a full-time hire. Sankar recently graduated from Morgan State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications. She will be serving as Iron Flame’s Communications Specialist starting June 3, 2019.
Before being offered a full-time position at Iron Flame, Sankar began working in September of 2018 as a part-time intern. During this time, she drove the development of their social media platforms and networked with local universities for company endeavors to acquire interns. “Alynn represents what we desire to do for our future interns. If you commit to Iron Flame, we commit to you”, stated by CEO Tarik Nasir.
Also, Sankar had the opportunity to be a part of large projects such as Iron Flame’s partnerships with Independent Electrical Contractors and Volunteers of America Chesapeake, where she got to meet Baltimore State’s Attorney, Marilyn Mosby. When asked about her experiences as an intern, Sankar stated, “I’ve learned so much interning here, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities Iron Flame has provided me, I never thought I would have a job coming straight out of college”.
